Former South Yorkshire Police officer due in Sheffield court to face misconduct charges
A former police officer is due to appear in court in Sheffield following concerns about an ‘inappropriate relationship’ with a female crime victim.
Former Police Constable Liam Mills, who was stationed in Barnsley, has been charged with two counts of misconduct in a public office and a data protection offence.
The charges follow an internal report to South Yorkshire Police’s Professional Standards Department regarding ‘concerns of an inappropriate relationship with a female victim of crime’.
The 34-year-old is due to appear at Sheffield Magistrates’ Court on June 29.
