The tributes have been left as a mark of respect for 30-year-old Khurm Javed, who was killed in a gun attack on Clough Road, close to Bramall Lane, on Saturday night.

Detectives said the married dad-of-two was shot during a confrontation ‘between two parties’ but no other details have yet been released.

Two men, aged 21 and 23, were arrested on suspicion of murder yesterday and remained in police custody last night.

Detective Chief Inspector Michael Hakin, leading the police probe into the killing, said: “Our investigation is continuing at pace and my team and I remain keen to hear from anyone who witnessed this incident to come forward.

“It’s believed a confrontation between two parties took place, prior to the fatal shot being fired.

Another online tribute, posted by family friend Amar Hafiz, said Khurm’s death ‘has devastated and shattered the community in Sheffield’.

He described him as ‘a very talented, intelligent and charming young brother’.
