Five charged with thefts

Five men have been charged with burglary and theft following a spate of offences in the Bolsover area.

Two have been charged with breaking into and stealing items from a house, a garage and an outbuilding and for breaking into a garage.

Gavin Collins, 32, of King Street, Tibshelf, and Robert Smith, 28, of Haddon Street, Tibshelf, were arrested and charged with the four incidents which happened overnight on Tuesday, July 2.

Gregory Perry, 22, of Brewery Lane, Doncaster, was charged with breaking into a garage in Clowne in the early hours of Tuesday, June 18.

Raymond Randell, 68, of Wolverhampton Street, Willenhall, West Midlands, was charged with burgling and stealing jewellery from a property overnight on Tuesday, June 18.

And John Towle, 28, of Houfton Road, Bolsover, was also charged with stealing a bicycle from a garden on Gardeners Court, Bolsover.

Inspector Frank Burns, said: “It’s important that we have help from our communities, who are often our eyes and ears.”
