Five suspected drug dealers have been charged following a police operation aimed at cleaning up a Rotherham suburb.
Officers carried out a series of dawn raids on Monday and Tuesday, where rapid entry search teams used chain saws to force entry into homes in a crackdown on drug dealing in Eastwood.
South Yorkshire Police spent six months investigating street level dealing before executing the arrest phase of Operation Catchall.
Kyle Dearn, aged 29, of Dagnam Crescent, Arbourthorne, is charged with 24 counts of supplying class A drugs and Sirwan Rahimi, 22, of Hatherley Road, Eastwood, is charged with eight counts of supplying class A drugs and three counts of being concerned in the supply of class A drugs.
Aniece Alam, 22, of Selwyn Street, Eastwood, is charged with being concerned in the supply of class A drugs.
Two 17-year-old youths are also charged with drugs offences.
A 21-year-old woman arrested as part of the inquiry has been released without charged while two 17-year-old youths and a 20-year-old man have been bailed pending further enquiries.
Police a arrested a 33-year-old man on Wednesday on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of class A drugs.
