A teenage boy left fighting for life after a collision with a double decker bus in Sheffield is home for Christmas.

The 13-year-old boy suffered serious head injuries in the collision on Retford Road, Handsworth, at 7.35am on Monday, December 2.

The collision with the bus, operated by Stagecoach, occurred as the boy crossed Retford Road, close to the junction with Beaver Hill Road.

He was taken to hospital in a critical condition but was discharged last Saturday.
