In a statement, the boy’s mother said Jubb's actions were a "calculated and chilling" bid "to undermine our son’s belief in our family."

"She targeted him and stole his innocence. I struggle to understand why she did it.”

Weeks before she arranged for him to visit her home, Jupp began texting the other boy, Mr West said on Friday.

Ian Goldsack, mitigating, said the defendant, who was of previous good character, had “a difficult upbringing,” and at the time was “experiencing isolation and loneliness which she was dealing with by drinking to excess.”

Not all the messages were sexual, he said, and some were "supportive and sympathetic."

The "increasing intimacy of the messages" was "encouraged on both sides," Mr Goldsack said.

Jubb, 27, of Walkley Road, Sheffield, pleaded guilty to two counts of engaging in sexual communication with a child, and three counts of sexual assault.
