Detectives are piecing together the circumstances surrounding two shootings on a Sheffield estate last night.

A major police investigation is under way today after two shootings on the Arbourthorne estate last night.

Two gun attacks were reported in Arbourthorne in less than 10 minutes.

Here is everything known so far:

Police officers were alerted to a shooting on Errington Avenue shortly before 9.45pm and at 9.53pm there was a shooting on nearby Aylward Road.

Police cordons were put in place around both houses which were shot at. Officers guarded the crime scenes overnight.
Police officers remain at both crime scenes this afternoon while enquiries are carried out at the houses fired at last night.
Detectives are treating both shootings last night as 'linked'.
No arrests have yet been made over the gun attacks.
Police patrols have been stepped up in Arbourthorne in the wake of last night's shootings.
