Eight men to appear in court following disorder in pub before Rotherham United game

Eight men will appear in court over disorder at a pub in Rotherham before a football match.

Disorder broke out between Rotherham United and Ipswich Town fans at The Crofts pub before a fixture at the New York Stadium on Saturday, February 7.

Robert Harpham, aged 32, of Charnwood Street, Swinton, Tyronne Wilkinson, 39, of Ladyoak Road, East Herringthorpe and David Allen, 39, of Sheridan Drive, Herringthorpe will appear at Rotherham Magistrates’ Court on June 11.

Ryan Robertson, 21, of Lonsdale Close, Ipswich, Jack Chapman, 25, of Belstead Avenue, Ipswich, Grant Cross, 49, of Winsky Avenue, Southbourne and Jakob Betts, 22, of Alston Road, Ipswich will appear on June 25.

They are all charged with affray.

Another man, from Ipswich, will appear on a summons for affray on June 25.
