An e-fit image has been released after an attempted ‘distraction burglary’ in Sheffield.

A man resembling the above image reportedly tried entering a property on Watkinson Gardens, Sheffield at around 3.30pm on Saturday, March 13.

He claimed he was from Plumb Care and needed to fix the boiler but the occupant of the property advised there was nothing wrong with the boiler and refused to give him entry to the property.

She the called her son who made enquiries with Plumb Care who advised they had not sent anybody out.

Although the man did not gain entry into the property he held his foot at the door, preventing the victim from shutting it. He eventually left once the victim made contact with her son.
