Drugs seized from car after police find Sheffield man ‘ferreting about in underwear’

South Yorkshire Police said officers stopped a car which failed to stop for officers patrolling the Arbourthorne and Manor areas of the city on Friday, January 17.

The force said that when officers spoke to the occupants of the vehicle they found ‘a rear seat passenger ferreting about in his underwear, with a suspicious looking man bag next to him’.

Both he and the driver were searched and arrested on suspicion of possession of controlled drugs with intent to supply following the discovery of drugs.

Both were later released under investigation whilst enquiries continue.

Officers are involved in an operation on the Arbourthorne and Manor estates aimed at disrupting organised crime.
