Drugs seized and arrests made in police raids in Doncaster

Cannabis and cash were seized and arrests were made when police officers raided two homes in Doncaster.

Over £1,000 and a quantity of cannabis were recovered when officers searched homes on Wood Street and Hirst Gate, Mexborough, in a crackdown on organised crime across Doncaster.Officers swooped on Thursday, January 16 and found 1kg of cannabis in a property on Hirst Gate.A 23-year-old man was reported for possession of a controlled drug.Two further arrests were made later that day at a house on Wood Street.

A 19-year-old man and an 18-year-old woman were arrested on suspicion of possession of cannabis and money laundering, after a quantity of cannabis and over £1,000 was found during a search.Both have since been released under investigation as enquiries continue.
