Drugs found during house search in Sheffield as officers look for 'dangerous dogs'

South Yorkshire Police said the neighbourhood team which covers Fir Vale sent officers to a house on Hamilton Road following reports of ‘potentially dangerous dogs’ and anti-social behaviour.

An investigation into drug dealing has now been launched.

South Yorkshire Police said: “The Fir Vale team have been responding to residents’ concerns regarding some potentially dangerous dogs and other concerns around anti-social activities from an address on Hamilton Road.

“The team acquired a warrant under the Dangerous Dogs Act. The dogs were identified as not being banned breeds.

“As part of the warrant the address was searched and a quantity of cannabis was recovered.”
