The dog, Bill, was deployed when officers stopped a car in Barnsley and the passenger fled.

An officer apprehended the suspect, who was empty-handed, and the police dog was sent to search the surrounding area.

He found a bag containing a large quantity of drugs, cash and a phone.

A 25-year-old Wombwell man and a 27-year-old Rawmarsh man were arrested.
