From a street dealer to a trio involved in a drugs conspiracy operation, these men were detained, brought to justice and are now serving their time behind bars.

5. Georgios Gkorari
Georgios Gkorari, aged 22, of no fixed abode, was sentenced to two years in prison after he was found guilty of production of a Class B drug at Sheffield Crown Court in November. The court heard how officers attended an address on Barber Road, Crookes, on in September following reports of a strong smell of the drug and found £100,000 worth of cannabis and plants.

6. Jetmir Tanushi
Jetmir Tanushi, 28, of Milton Walk, Doncaster, pleaded guilty to producing a class B drug at Sheffield Crown Court in December and was sentenced to three years in prison. Officers from the Central Doncaster Neighbourhood Team attended the address on Milton Walk, Hyde Park, after receiving reports from members of the public of a potential cannabis grow at the property. They were unable to gain access to the property, but could see through the letter box lamps and electrical cables set up for cannabis cultivation. Tanushi tried to escape via the back door after he saw the officers outside, but he was quickly detained and arrested for cannabis cultivation. He was later charged with the production of a controlled substance class B.

7. Adnan Jama
Heroin and crack cocaine dealer Adnan Jama , 26, formerly of Carwood Grove, Burngreave, was jailed for five years and seven months for dealing. He was first caught by police with drugs when he was a passenger in a car and on a second time during a visit to his former home. Police stopped a VW Golf car on Earl Marshal Road, Fir Vale, Sheffield, on July 5, 2020, and discovered Jama had £1,490 in cash, crack cocaine, heroin and cannabis. After Jama was released under investigation, police visited his home on January 1 following a report of an assault and found the defendant hiding in a cupboard. Officers discovered heroin and cocaine at the property as well as cannabis all valued at £960 along with high-valued clothes and £1,430 in cash. He admitted two counts of possessing crack cocaine with intent to supply, two counts of possessing heroin with intent to supply and two counts of simply possessing cannabis.

8. Mason Shamson (photo unavailable)
Mason Shamson, 36, was sentenced to 30 months imprisonment at Sheffield Crown Court on Friday March 26 , after being convicted of possession with intent to supply class A and B drugs at an earlier hearing. The court heard how on Sheffield’s Parson Cross Neighbourhood Policing Team conducted a warrant at Shamson’s home address in the Birley Carr area. Inside the address, officers located a quantity of class A and B drugs alongside a quantity of cash and drugs paraphernalia.
