A motorist provided a ‘staggering’ breathalyser result after a crash in Barnsley.

The driver was tested after crashing a Renault Megane into a bollard in Barnsley overnight.

South Yorkshire Police said a ‘staggering’ breathalyser result of 126 micrograms of alcohol per 100ml of breath was provided at the roadside.

The legal limit is 35.
