A roadside checkpoint set up on Penistone Road yesterday led to two arrests after officers found one motorist drink driving and another who had taken drugs.
Officers are out in force in a bid to save lives by looking for motorists drink and drug driving this Christmas.
South Yorkshire Police said: “Remember, just because you've had a sleep doesn't mean you're under the limit.”
