Dramatic photo shows lorry on fire on major road through Peak District

This was the scene after a lorry burst into flames on a major Derbyshire road in the Peak District.

Firefighters were called to an HGV which had caught fire on the A623 near Wardlow Mires today, Monday, September 7, at around 7.30am.

Derbyshire Fire & Rescue Service said crews from Bradwell and Hathersage extinguished the fire, adding that the ‘incident was left with the @DerbysPolice’.
