A shocking video has captured the moment a man was pinned to the ground by police officers in a Sheffield suburb.
In the 30-second video that is making its rounds on social media, a man can be seen being restrained by three officers on Addy Street in Upperthorpe.
According to a resident who captured the footage, the incident occurred at around 10.30am on Saturday (January 2).
"The guy was arguing with the police, then when I looked back, he was on the floor," said the resident, who requested to remain anonymous.
The resident said the incident went on for about five minutes where it looked like the man was resisting arrest.
Confirming the incident, South Yorkshire said they were called at around 10.27am on Saturday following reports of a disturbance on a bus in the area.
A police spokesperson said: "On arrival, officers removed a suspect from the bus and detained him.
"A 53-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of breaching a court order.
"The incident was recorded on body worn video and the force’s Professional Standards Department will review it as a matter of course."
