The graffiti is on the house that used to be the North Star Club on Welbeck Road.

It says in enormous black-painted lettering: “Want your house painting? Don’t be like Terry, pay the bill! Now you will!”

The letters cover the whole of the front of the white-washed two-storey house.

One neighbour, who spotted the message on the house today (January 16), said they thought it had been done in revenge by people employed to paint the house who had not been paid for their work.

And others have not shown much sympathy for the accused.

One resident wrote on Facebook: “Ha fair play. Best way to be with customers that try to rip you off.”
