David John Doherty, 48, of St James Street, Doncaster, pleaded guilty to rape at a hearing at Sheffield Crown Court on Wednesday 26 November.

The offence took place at an address in the Hyde Park area of Doncaster in August 2013.

“We have specially-trained officers in place who work with victims from the moment a rape is reported, gathering every piece of evidence in order to secure a conviction.”
