Distraction theives steal hundreds of pounds worth of children's clothes from Sheffield shop

Officers say an investigation has been launched to find four people – two men and two women – who stole items from the PUD store in Cyrstal Peaks yesterday.
Anyone with information which could help the police with their enquiries is asked to call 101 quoting crime reference number 14/179937/19.

Hide AdOne of the managers of the shop, Jessie Impey, shared photos and a video of the thefts taking place on her Facebook page.
Since doing so, she has had other shops in the region including Boots in Crystal Peaks, Morrisons in Staveley and Select and Save on City Road all reporting the same people targeting them.
She said: “Morrisons said they just walks out with arm fulls of toys and Select and Save said they just picked loads of beers up and left. They have obviously been doing their Chrismas shopping!
“We only had one person on in the shop at the time and one of the men started asking for her number to distract her and the other one started asking about prams which take a lot of effort.

Hide Ad“While she was distracted they took about 13 outfits which cost about £30 each.”
The PUD store is a children’s designer clothes shop which has outlets in Sheffield, Doncaster, Newark and Mansfield.
The chain is owned by former Apprentice star, Frances Bishop.
