Detectives urge witnesses to come forward in Darnall shooting

Police investigating a shooting in the Darnall area of Sheffield last month are urging witnesses to come forward.

Emergency services were called to Staniforth Road just before 5pm on Saturday, January 4 where a 28-year-old man was found with a gunshot injury to his upper body.

He was taken to hospital where he required emergency surgery.

He has since been discharged from hospital and is recovering well.

Two men were arrested on suspicion of attempted murder in connection to the incident, a 22-year-old man and a 17-year-old boy, both from Darnall. They have since been released on police bail.

Officers are keen to speak to anyone who witnessed the incident, who may have been in the area at the time or has any information that can help with their investigation.
