Craig Stuart Burgwin, aged 43, of Margate Drive, Pitsmoor, Sheffield, stole two coats from Debenhams in Sheffield and returned two days later to steal a Fred Perry t-shirt, according to a Sheffield Magistrates’ Court hearing.

Robert Coyne, prosecuting, told the court on January 30 that Burgwin stole coats from Debenhams on Boxing Day and two days later he stole a shirt.

Burgwin pleaded guilty to the two thefts and admitted breaching a conditional discharge which had been imposed previously for shoplifting.

Mr Coyne added Burgwin is on bail and is banned from entering retail premises on The Moor.

Magistrates adjourned the case until March 11 to consider a probation report before sentencing.

Burgwin was released on conditional bail on the grounds he continues not to enter premises on The Moor.
