Man charged with causing death by dangerous driving after crash which killed Barnsley family and two others
A family of four from Barnsley died in the crash
A man has been charged with causing the deaths of six people in a crash near Barnsley two years ago.
Shannen Morgan and Shane Roller, from Barnsley, died along with two of their daughters, nine-year-old Rubie, and Lillie, four, when the family's car collided with a motorbike on the A61 between Barnsley and Wakefield on July 21, 2024.

Shane’s dad, Graham Roller, paid tribute to his son and family in a Facebook post at the time.
He wrote: “On Sunday we lost part of our family, Shane Roller, Shannen Morgan and two beautiful little granddaughters in a terrible car accident.
“Shane wasn't just a son but an amazing father and he had a heart of gold.
“Shannen our daughter-in-law was funny and was also an amazing mum and they thought the world of their little family.
“They will be very much missed by everyone that knew them, but they will always be in our hearts and thoughts forever.
“Fly high and stay safe together. Love you more than words can say.”
Husband and wife Christopher and Janine Barton, who were both travelling on the motorcycle, also died in the crash.
Christopher Cockell has now been charged with six counts of causing death by dangerous driving following an investigation by the Major Collision Enquiry Team (MCET) into the collision that took place between Staincross and Newmillerdam.
The 50-year-old of Gresford Close, Woolley Grange, is due to appear before Leeds Magistrates' Court on October 28.
An inquest previously heard that a silver Ford Focus being driven by Mr Roller, 33, collided head on with a BMW motorcycle being driven by Mr Barton, 56.
