One daffodil bulb for each of the 46 children hoping to be adopted in Barnsley will be planted at Cannon Hall Children’s Farm near Cawthorne tomorrow.

The bulbs will be planted between 10am and 12.30am as Barnsley joins in activities to mark National Adoption Week.

Members of the public interested in adoption can attend the event to find out more.

Coun Tim Cheetham said: “There are no bars, no-one is turned away because of their age, marital status, sexuality or whether or not they are home owners.”

A meeting on adoption is to be held at Barnsley Town Hall on Tuesday, November 12, at 6pm.
