A Sheffield renewable energy product company has been ordered to pay £4,995.15 for failing to meet its legal obligations as an employer to pay the National Minimum Wage.

HM Revenue and Customs obtained a County Court Judgment against ECO Infinity Ltd, Shepcote Lane, Darnall, who failed to pay an employee the minimum wage between July and December 2011.

The firm must also pay costs of £230.

Michelle Wyer, of HM Revenue and Customs, said: “Paying the national minimum wage is not a choice – it’s the law.”
