Cops called after youths threatened with a knife in horror attack at popular park

Three youths were threatened with a knife in a South Yorkshire park yesterday.

South Yorkshire Police said ‘three young people’ were threatened with a blade by ‘two males’ in Clifton Park, Rotherham.

No other details have been released other than officers located and arrested two suspects.

A knife was also recovered.

South Yorkshire Police recently took part in a nationwide initiative, known as Operation Sceptre, aimed at reducing the number of knives on the streets.

Stop and search operations were carried out and knife arches were used.
