Sheffield city centre will have a continental feel to it next week when food, goods, drinks and fresh produce from around the world go on sale.

Fargate, the Town Hall Square and Peace Gardens will boast a continental market from Wednesday, October 14 to Sunday, October 18 in a bid to attract more shoppers.

Over 50 traders will be representing a selection of countries from across Europe including France, Italy, Spain, Germany and Greece with authentic food and products on sale.

A ‘Meats of the World’ stall will be selling ostrich, wild boar, kangaroo and crocodile.

Marcus Axelby, who runs the Market Place continental market, said: “Market Place and our traders are really looking forward to visiting Sheffield for the fourth time in 2015.

“The city centre is a fantastic location for our traders to show off their produce and we always receive a fantastic welcome from the people of the city.

“There is a great selection of traders and products this October so there is sure to be something for everyone.

“Visit the continental market, have a taste of our food, browse our products and of course, don’t be afraid to ask questions - our traders are always happy to help.”

The market will trade from 9am until 5.30pm Wednesday to Saturday and 10am to 5pm on Sunday.
