Concern mounts over disappearance of Barnsley man
Concern for the welfare of a missing Barnsley man is growing.
Richard Dyson, aged 55, who has links to Elsecar and Hoyland, was reported missing by his daughter on Monday, November 25 after not seeing or hearing from him since Friday, November 15, when he was in the Aston area of Rotherham.
It is now believed he may have been seen at around 11pm on Sunday, November 17 walking towards the A6135 Sheffield Road, Hoyland.
Superintendent Mark James, leading the search, said: “It is incredibly out of character for Richard not to contact his daughter who he sees every week, and due to the length of time he has now been missing our concerns for his welfare are growing.”
Richard is about 5ft 10ins - 6ft tall and slim build.
He has short, grey hair and is believed to be wearing a navy waterproof Kappa jacket with white stitching.
