Police officers searching for a man missing from a psychiatric rehabilitation unit are growing ‘increasingly concerned’ for his safety.
James Stephenson, aged 40, left Cambian Oaks Hospital, Barnsley, at 10.15am on Tuesday, March 18 after telling staff that intended to go shopping, but never returned.
The last confirmed sighting of Mr Stephenson is at the Dewsbury and Mirfield Neighbourhood Housing Team’s customer service centre in Town Hall Way, Dewsbury, West Yorkshire, at around 3.30pm on March 25.
Timothy Fish, a missing persons officer for South Yorkshire Police, said: “If James sees this appeal, I would urge him to get in touch with us by calling 101.
“He is not in any trouble, we just want to confirm that he is safe and well.
“As time goes on and there is still no word from him, we are growing increasingly concerned for his safety.”
