Concern for safety of missing 12-year-old Barnsley girl

Police are searching for a 12 -year-old girl who has gone missing from Barnsley.

Lois Elliott, who is originally from Liverpool but now lives in Royston, was last seen getting on a train with the intention of travelling back to Liverpool, but she has not been seen or heard from since.

She caught the Wakefield to Leeds train.

Lois was wearing a black puffa-style jacket, a black crop top, black leggings and fluorescent pink trainers.

She is 5ft 2ins tall, slim, with long dark hair with a red tinge, and has a strong Liverpudlian accent.

Anyone with information on her whereabouts should call South Yorkshire Police on 101.
