Cigs stolen in two store raids

HUNDREDS of cigarettes were stolen when four masked men broke in and raided a shop.

The struck at the Co-op, Victoria Street, Shirebrook, on Sunday, at about 10.35pm, after breaking in through a fire exit.

They filled a sack, left in a white Ford Escort and were last seen driving onto Carter Lane.

The day before cigarettes were stolen from Hepthorne Lane News, Station Road, North Wingfield.

Police said the shop was broken into between 2.30am and 6am and cigarettes taken from a display.
