It is alleged that Walsh had accessed Mr Snell’s bank accounts and stolen money, prior to the pensioner reporting the matter to police in late June 2019.

Following the murder at the Marsden Street property, Walsh cut Mr Snell’s body into 10 pieces and buried most them in a badgers’ set, the court heard.

Walsh denies murder.
