CCTV shows moment suspect tasered after nine-mile police chase through Sheffield

Officers pursued the 31-year-old man from Chapeltown after he collided with a parked car on Bevan Road and drove away from the scene.

They finally caught up with him when the black Land Rover he was driving came to a halt on Kent Road in Heeley after travelling up Nicholson Road at speed.

Two police officers suffered minor injuries during a struggle when the suspect tried to escape on foot.

The two-minute video shows the moment after he initially got away before he was wrestled to the ground when more police arrived.

After another struggle, during which an officer can be seen hitting out at the man, he flops over as three police stand over him.

Five more officers then arrive before a uniformed officer seemingly collapses and receives help from colleagues.
