CCTV image released by police after woman assaulted in Sheffield city centre

Police investigating the reported assault of a 43-year-old woman in Sheffield city centre earlier this month have released a CCTV image of a man they are keen to identify.

At 4.25am on Sunday, December 8, it was reported that the woman was punched in the face by an unknown man on The Moor, Sheffield, near to the Queer Junction nightclub.

The woman suffered facial injuries and it is not yet known whether there will be permanent damage.

A police spokesman said: “We believe the man pictured could hold vital information and are keen to identify him.”
