CCTV image issued after armed robbery at Rotherham newsagent

Police have issued a CCTV image of a man they want to speak to in relation to an armed robbery at a Rotherham newsagent.

It is reported that at around 9.30pm on Saturday, October 31, two men forced their way into the McColls newsagents on Broom Valley Road in Rotherham.

One of the men is then understood to have threatened staff with a knife, with both suspects demanding access to the safe.

The men were unable to get into the safe but forced the till open before fleeing the shop with a quantity of cash and cigarettes.

Officers believe the man pictured could hold vital information and are appealing for him, or anyone who knows him, to get in touch with them on 101 quoting incident number 1175 of 31 October 2020.
