CCTV appeal after man is injured in armed robbery at Sheffield shop

A man was injured when armed robbers struck at a shop in Sheffield.

Police have released CCTV footage in an attempt to catch the thieves who targeted a convenience store on St Mary’s Lane in Ecclesfield.

Four white teenage boys, all wearing masks, reportedly entered the shop on Friday, December 13, at 4.30pm.

One of the boys produced a knife and threatened a member of staff, demanding cash from the till and cigarettes.

The victim was cut on his hand as he attempted to defend himself.

The robbers are believed to have stolen confectionery from the store before heading off towards Ecclesfield Park.

Officers want to hear from anyone who may have seen the people pictured in the CCTV footage on or around St Mary’s Lane that day.

They hope someone may be able to recognise them due to their distinctive clothing.
