5. Assault in Sharrow
Officers in Sheffield have released CCTV images of two men they would like to speak to in connection with an assault.
Launching a public appeal on February 6, a South Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: "It is reported that on 10 December 2022 at 10.40pm, a group of men were stood outside 7 Hills convenience store in Ecclesall Road, Sharrow, when they approached the victim.
"Two men from the group are then believed to have punched the victim, a 28-year-old man, causing him to fall on the floor. The suspects left the scene on foot.
"The victim suffered injuries to his face and leg, which required surgery.
"Enquiries are ongoing but officers are keen to identify the men in the images as they may be able to assist with enquiries.

Officers in Sheffield have released CCTV images of men they would like to speak to in connection with two separate burglaries at the same location in Sheffield.
Launching a public appeal on February 3, 2023: "Firstly, it is reported that on Thursday 24 November 2022 at about 11.40am, a man arrived at a property on Rockingham Street in the city centre on his scooter before entering the property and taking some parcels. He then left with these on the scooter.
"Then on Tuesday 6 December 2022 at 2.45pm, two men arrived at and entered the same property. Again, they took some parcels and left with them.
"Enquiries are ongoing but officers are keen to identify the men in the images as they may be able to assist with enquiries.

7. Off-duty police officers assaulted at Bessemer pub in Sheffield city centre
Sheffield CID has released a CCTV still of a man they want to speak to as part of an ongoing investigation into the reported assault of off-duty officers.
Launching a public appeal on January 16, a South Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: "At around 5pm on Thursday 15 December, it is reported that there was an altercation inside the Bessemer pub on Leopold Street. Off-duty police officers in the pub intervened in a bid to calm the situation, during which four were assaulted and punched.
"Two men aged 22 and 53-years-old have been arrested as part of the inquiry, on suspicion of assaulting an emergency worker. Both men are currently on bail pending further enquiries.
"Officers believe that the man in this CCTV image could hold important information about the assaults and are appealing to him, or anyone who recognises him, to get in touch.

Officers in Sheffield have released CCTV footage of two men they would like to speak to in connection with an attempted burglary.
Launching a public appeal on December 1, a spokesperson for South Yorkshire Police said: "It is reported that on 13 August 2022 between 4am and 4:30am, two men are reported to have approached a property in Lees Hall Avenue, Graves Park.
"It is then reported the two men tried to gain access to the property, which was unsuccessful. It is then believed that the suspects then entered a van that was on the drive, before leaving empty handed."
