Cash stolen in burglary of Chinese takeaway in Sheffield

A large amount of cash has been stolen from a Chinese takeaway in Sheffield.

Police said entry was forced to Lee’s House Chinese in Deepcar between 4.10pm and 4.25pm on Tuesday, October 4 when the shop was closed.

A keypad safe containing cash and personal documents were stolen during the burglary.

Two men were captured on CCTV cameras breaking into the shop and then driving off in a silver or grey X-type Jaguar.

The car was then captured travelling along Manchester Road in the direction of Stocksbridge.

Witnesses to the raid or anyone with information should call South Yorkshire Police on 101, or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555111 quoting incident number 814 of October 14.
