Cars stolen from Peak District village on same night

A police probe is underway into the theft of two cars stolen from Bradwell on the same night.

One of the vehicles - a Skoda Fabia - was stolen after the thief broke into the house it was parked outside and took the keys.

Police said the thief got into the house in Town Lane through a ground floor window in the early hours of Tuesday, September 15.

A laptop, two mobile phones, tools and a brown handbag were also stolen during the raid.

Police later found the car abandoned with the stolen items inside.

On the same night a blue Mitsubishi Pajero, containing a number of tools, was stolen from Batham Road.
