Car abandoned during police chase in Sheffield

Police officers spotted that the Vauxhall Corsa was fitted with false registration plates while they were patrolling the Manor estate last night and said they noticed ‘the familiar smell of a certain green plant’ coming from it.

South Yorkshire Police said the driver failed to stop and managed to lose officers following the vehicle.

The car was abandoned and later seized by officers.
