It comes following appeals from residents in the area for a heightened police presence after they claimed their neighbourhood had hit ‘rock bottom’ due to the crime taking place there.

The Sheffield North East NHP said: “Whilst many are enjoying the sun and warm weather the Fir Vale Neighbourhood team have been out turning up the heat even further for those out committing crime and causing a nuisance to our communities.

“This afternoon with some temporary signings from the Parson Cross team we executed a drugs warrant on Hinde St, Page Hall, after concerns were raised around the activity at the address.

“A quantity of cannabis was found at the property and two knives that unless you are Bear Grylls you have no reason to own. All are now in police possession and the occupant is to be interviewed in due course.”
