Two Canadian men have been charged with attempted fraud over an incident at Meadowhall last week.

Migel Marquas Bahadur, aged 23, of Ontario, Canada and David Szabo, 28, of London, Canada, were arrested whilst trying to obtain electronic equipment from a store in the shopping centre.

They were also quizzed over offences in Manchester, Leeds and Liverpool, leading to a further three fraud charges for Bahadur and two for Szabo.

The men have been remanded in custody and their cases will be heard at Sheffield Crown Court.
