Busy Sheffield road blocked off by police over concern for safety of woman onboard bus

Police officers blocked off a busy Sheffield road today over concerns for the safety of a woman onboard a bus.

The police were called as the bus pulled up on Staniforth Road, Darnall.

Officers blocked off the road while the woman was assessed then taken to hospital.

South Yorkshire Police said: “Police were called following reports of concern for safety for a woman travelling on a bus along Staniforth Road.

“One woman has been taken to hospital to be treated for foot injuries.”
