Burglar nailed by fingerprints

A BURGLAR has been jailed after his fingerprints were found at a flat he broke into.

Stephen Cooke, aged 35, broke into the property on Old Hall Road, Chesterfield, in March and stole jewellery, electrical goods and aftershave.

He was arrested and charged with burglary after his fingerprints were later found in the flat.

Cooke, of Birchwood Crescent, Chesterfield, pleaded guilty to the offence and was sentenced to 13 months in prison following a hearing at Derby Crown Court.
