Detectives have launched a murder investigation after a 25-year-old man collapsed after an ‘altercation’ in Bentley, Doncaster.
South Yorkshire Police have arrested an 18-year-old man.
A police statement said: “Emergency services were called in the early hours this morning to the Broughton Avenue area.
“Officers understand the man attended The Drum public house yesterday evening on Watch House Lane, a short distance from Broughton Avenue, where the 25-year-old is believed to have been involved in an altercation.
“Police are continuing enquiries in Bentley as detectives investigate the circumstances that led to the man’s death.
“An 18-year-old local man has been arrested on suspicion of murder and is currently in police custody assisting officers with enquiries.”
