Boy, 15, stabbed in the leg and rushed to hospital after knife attack on Sheffield street

A teenager is in hospital and another is in police custody over a stabbing in a Sheffield street.

South Yorkshire Police said officers were deployed at around 11.15pm yesterday following reports that a 15-year-old boy had been stabbed on Hastilar Road South, which runs between Woodthorpe and Richmond.

The teenager was taken to hospital with stab wounds to his leg and has since been discharged.

A 16-year-old boy has been arrested on suspicion of wounding and assaulting an emergency worker.
