A man was arrested following a break-in at a Sheffield city centre bar where alcohol was stolen.

Police were called to The Botanist bar in Leopold Square in the early hours of Thursday morning after they were alerted by its intruder alarms.

A number of bottles of alcohol were stolen in the reported burglary.

Now, a 22-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of burglary and bailed pending further enquiries as police continue to investigate.

The Botanist's rear entrance was taped off by police on Thursday morning.
