POLICE patrols have been ordered in Brinsworth, Rotherham, to look for youths drinking on the streets and damaging cars.
Residents complained to police at a public meeting that youths regularly hang around the Brinsworth Pavilion to drink alcohol and can become confrontational if challenged.
They also said youngsters had been seen running over the tops of parked vehicles and snapping off wing mirrors.
Officers responsible for dealing with the issue have carried out extra patrols and say they will confiscate alcohol from youths they find drinking in the street.
Their parents will also be informed of their behaviour.
