Sheffield Magistrates’ Court heard on November 12 how Salah Hussain Ali Mohammed, aged 39, of Firshill Walk, Crabtree, Sheffield, had been entertaining friends at his home when one of his guests became ill so he decided to drive to help them.
Mohammed was stopped by police driving a Jaguar XFS Portfolio car on September 1, according to prosecuting solicitor Mark Hughes.

Mohmmed - who is a self-employed, private contractor in the personal protection industry - pleaded guilty to exceeding the alcohol drink-drive limit on Horndean Road, Fir Vale, Sheffield, after registering 53 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath when the limit is 35 microgrammes.
Darren Withers, defending, said: “Mr Mohammed accepts responsibility for being over the limit. On the particular night in question he entertained friends at his home address and consumed alcohol in a situation where he had not intended to drive.”
Mr Withers added unfortunately one of Mohammed’s friends became unwell and he decided to drive for them.
